Softer wheels (78A–90A) provide more grip and a smoother ride on rough surfaces, making them ideal for outdoor skating. Harder wheels (95A–101A+) roll faster and slide more easily, making them a popular choice for skateparks, rink skating, and technical tricks. Most skaters choose wheel hardness based on where and how they skate.
